TCB Rehearsals
Rehearsals are in the Band Room of the Palo Verde High School. See Rehearsal Room
Rehearsals are on each Thursday evening from 7 to 9 pm., except for holidays or when we have a concert on that evening. We are off for the Summer, following July 4, through mid August when the Palo Verde H.S. reopens for the new school year.
Eligibility
Membership in the Tucson Concert Band is open to everyone above high school age regardless of musical experience. At the discretion of the Musical Director, High School Students with demonstrated instrumental abilities may obtain permission to participate in the Band. New musicians are expected to contact Dr. Kreloff by phone at 529-4046 to discuss interest before the first band rehearsal to assist in placement within the section.
Other Requirements
Each musician must have an instrument in good playing condition, although the Band does provide most percussion equipment. You must also have your own music stand for concerts. Stands are provided for rehearsals. Each musician is expected to purchase a band polo shirt from the Band which is used for outdoor concerts and other concerts in the early fall and spring. The indoor and winter concert attire is a red sport coat with white shirt and black bow tie, and black pants, shoes and socks, which is also provided by band members. All band members are expected to regulary attend all rehearsals and concerts and keep their Section Leader or Music Director informed of absences.
